Training
This pilar is to ensure that continental, regional and national human capital and infrastructural capacities of African public institutions and private sector to generate and apply EO-based information for Natural and Water Resources as well as Marine & Coastal applications are enhanced.
3 main activities:
- Activity 4.1: Develop a gender-sensitive training strategy including identification of topics and relevant stakeholders, giving specific attention to GMES consortia, GMES services users and private sector
- Activity 4.2: Carry out trainings in particular with GMES consortia, GMES services users and private sector
- National and regional Training conducted by Consortia
- Continental training conducted by the PMU and the Consortia
- Continental hackathon
- Scholarships
- Network of Academia
- Online trainings
- Activity 4.3: Develop and maintain digital learning tools (e.g., learning platforms)
