The 12 Awarded Consortia

Thirteen consortia were selected through a competitive call for proposal process. The SADC led consortium was outed after 12 months. The remaining consortia involve 122 institutions (leaders, partners, and associates) in 45 African countries and 6 European countries - see below (SITE1 links to the page dedicated to the Project on the website of the leader of the consortium whereas SITE2 links to the Project's website, if any)

  • Group (1) Two Consortia that cover geographical areas not covered by predecessors program i.e. MESA, AMESD and PUMA: (Northern Africa) NARSS, OSS ; 
  • Group (2) Six consortia that were beneficiaries of predecessors programs : CICOS, ICPAC, MOI, RCMRD, SADC-CSC, UoG) ; and 
  • Group (3) Five Consortia that were not beneficiaries of predecessors programs : AGEOS, CSE, CSIR, CSSTE, SASSCAL.
