GMES & Africa Official Launching

GMES and Africa was officially launched at a historic ceremony on the 26 November 2016, in Brazzaville, Congo. This marked the beginning of the process to implement the initiative, which seeks to promote the development of local capacities, as well as institutional, human and technical resources in Africa for access to and exploitation of EO-based services for sustainable development.
