AU-EU: The 1st edition of the Africa-Europe week

The Africa-Europe Week will happen 14-18 Feb. 2022, in the run-up to the 6th AU-EU summit. It will gather various stakeholder events and activities in order to raise awareness and boost visibility around the 6th EU-AU Summit and Africa-EU Partnership. The event will also host the launch of the second phase of the Joint AU-EU GMES and Africa Programme

The Africa-Europe week aims to strengthen the links that connect people from both our continents.  It is also a platform by and for stakeholders to discuss and show what they deem important for the future Africa-EU Partnership.  

Events, sessions, workshops, and exhibitions will encourage connections and synergies among stakeholder groups to discuss strategic priorities.  It will be a key moment to bring together young people, civil society and the private sector from Africa and Europe to discuss the aspects of the Africa-EU Partnership that matter to them the most.

A hybrid event co-organised by the European Commission, the African Union Commission, as well as EU and African business organisations, the forum will happen from 14 to 18 February online and from 16 to 17 February at The Square, Brussels (subject to COVID restrictions.
